First Day of David and Karalee's 40th Anniversary Celebration
April 22, 2022
Happy Smiles
When David asked Karalee out for their first date in November 1977, little did he or Karalee know that we would marry on April 24, 1982 and celebrate 40 years of marriage on April 24, 2022. To celebrate their 40th anniversary, we decided on a four day break in Victoria, BC. We committed to making it just the two of us. No children. No Pets. To celebrate as we started—a young couple in love.
On a beautiful Spring Day, we took the ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island. The ferry transits through Active Pass providing David with photo opportunities. It was a short drive to the iconic Empress Hotel where we settled in for our get away. After dinner, we walked along Victoria's inner harbour. We enjoyed watched as the Johnson Street Bridge opened to let a barge be towed through the opening into Victoria's Inner Harbour.
