Bull's Bridge

Bull's Bridge In View

After a few hours of walking, we were on the final section of the canal that leads to the junction of the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal with the main part of the canal. The last part of the walk is surrounded by green space and it was with quite a shock that we made the final climb to the center of Bull's Bridge to be greeted across the canal with an enormous shopping center. We had imagined a country-style pub at the end of our journey and instead we found suburbia.

Bull's Bridge

Bull's Bridge has quite a bit of history. It was established at a time when trains were starting to take over from canals for transportation. During the transition there was a major railway works yard at Bull's Bridge.

We enjoyed another pleasant walk through central London. Our walk started near Paddington station and it ends not far from Heathrow Airport. The walk wandered through industrial, residential, and rural settings. We hope that one day you give this walk a try for yourself.
