Cotswolds Day Three: Broadway Tower

Approach to Broadway Tower

After viewing the Church of St. James in Chipping Camden, we had time to visit the shops on the high street. After shopping, we had a lunch at a pub on the high street. We spent the morning walking from Stow-on-the-Wold to Chipping Camden and the afternoon was spent walking to one of the other major landmarks of the Cotswolds: Broadway Tower.

Broadway Tower

Broadway Tower is one of the highest points in the Cotswolds. In some ways the tower looks like a rocket with solid fuel booters attached, ready for takeoff. In reality, you enter the tower and climb a spiral staircase if you want to reach the top. There are different floors that present the history of the tower. Once you reach the top, you have great views of the Cotswolds. We could see the path that we walked to the tower and we could see downhill to the town of Broadway, where we would spend the night.
