A Fashion Show
Jocelyn Dressed Up
Yesterday, Jocelyn asked Karalee and me if she could take part in a fashion show. Her friend Nabiha's Aunt is helping out at a year-end fashion show at a school that specializes in make-up and hairdressing. We said fine and this morning Jocelyn left early to get ready for the show. We were given a ride to the school around 3:00 and we arrived just as the show was starting.
All the Girls
What we had not known was that all of the girls would be dressed up in wedding dresses. Karalee and I could not believe how mature Jocelyn looked with her hair, makeup, and wedding dress. Our little girl is growing up. In fact, when she walked by Kevin didn't even recognize her.
All of the girls looked beautiful. Most of the girls were older than Jocelyn, but Jocelyn was the tallest one there and the only blond. We're sure that this led to many discussions while everyone was getting ready for the show. Many of the dresses had been designed by Nabiha's Aunt. She is the one standing in the middle and looking to the right in the picture above.
Nabiha and Her Aunt
We also got to meet another of Nabiha's Aunts who had driven to Monastir from Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, where she lives. She spoke excellent English, so we had a chance to learn more about the day's events. Rolls and rolls of film were shot as relatives of all of the models had shown up for the big day. We had an interesting time, but Jocelyn, please wait a few more years before you decide to do the real thing.
