Arriving In Monastir, Tunisia
Marina Cap Monastir
We arrive in Monastir in mid-afternoon and tie up to the fuel dock. We then spend an hour checking in with the marina, customs, and the police. We are allocated our spot for the winter and we back Dragonsinger in and tie up. The customs officer pays a visit to the boat to see that everything is in order. After completing a detailed inventory list two times the officer leaves and we turn in for a short rest.
Apartments along the marina quay
The marina seems clean and the apartments surrounding it are all painted white with blue shutters. We stop and visit our friends Tony, Maggie, and Charlie on the sailboat Ganymede. We last saw them in Siracusa. Charlie is thirteen and he, along with Jocelyn, Kevin, and Allen are the only children in the marina. We haven't had much sleep during the night, so I cook dinner and we turn in early for the night. We'll have to wait until tomorrow to see more of our new winter home.
