Parks on Regents Canal

This picture shows the diversity of Regents Canal. To the left, we have the commercial buildings that we showed in the previous picture. In the center, we have the tow path. Imagine that you were walking along the path two hundred years ago. You would have seen horses ahead of you towing barges up the canal.

On the right is a park. Over time, the governments of East London realized that more park space was needed. What better place to develop a park than along a canal? Regents Canal forms part of several parks (e.g., Regents Park).
