When you are in Central London along the Thames River, it's
difficult to remember that the Thames is subject to a lot
of tidal effect. The boat in the foreground is a
Hobie Cat, a popular one-design sailboat.
The other boats are more typical of those that you expect to see
along the river. The larger boats appeared to be live-aboard
boats that float when the Thames is at its highest and sit on
the mud the rest of the time.
