Kerry Leads
The fifth day of our walk saw us leaving the town of Winchcombe
and heading through the fields. By now, we were all used to
getting up, packing, having breakfast, and heading out. Kerry
had a final surprise for us: the remains of a Roman villa.
Roman Villa
The remains that we visited are marked on Ordinance maps, but
it seems that few people visit it. The tile is what is left of
a house that likely existed sometime in 100 BC -- 100 AD. Even
though there was a lot of dirt on the tiles, the intricate
pattern was still visible 2,000 years after it was created.
