Street
When visiting Oppède le Vieux you might be tempted to visit only the church and the castle. But that would be a mistake. There is lots to see and it only takes a short walk up a side street to see many intimate shops and centuries old residences.
Park
Walking to the top to the hill above the main square provides a wonderful park with views to the North. No matter how you travel, some of the most interesting things you see are those that are not in the guidebooks. In our case, we explored the village on our own and enjoyed the small streets and the vistas that we found by striking out on our own.
