Dragonsinger Arrives in Vancouver, Canada

It seemed like the end of our adventure was last August when we arrived back in Vancouver, Canada. For me, the real end of our adventure is today as we prepare to unload Dragonsinger from the Dockwise vessel Super Servant 3.

I loaded Dragonsinger on the Super Servant 3 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain on May 25th. Since then, Dragonsinger has crossed the Atlantic, been through the Panama Canal, and made its way up the West coast of North America to arrive in Vancouver, Canada. We go onboard and it's as if we have never been away. The kids explore their rooms and before I know it everyone is sitting around the main table playing a game of cards.

It is a long wait for the Super Servant 3 to be flooded. When we first arrived Dragonsinger was completely out of the water. After a few hours the deck is flooded and we are the last to leave the vessel. We motor out into Burrard inlet, pass the commercial loading docks, and arrive at our slip at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club in Coal Harbour. Dragonsinger is finally home.
