David's Diary: Saturday, April 17, 2004
Leaving Bodrum, Turkey
Our adventure really started on Saturday, April 17, 2004 when David, Marian, and Bruce left Bodrum, Turkey at 07:00 for Greece. We left the marina in Bodrum under grey skies and calm seas. We headed around the Greek island of Kos and continued West in the Aegean Sea. We motored through most of the day, but the wind picked up late in the afternoon. As we approached the Greek island of Santorini, the waves were on the beam and as Marian and David prepared dinner they both got seasick. When first setting out on the first long passage of the season, it is challenging to adjust to the motion of the boat.
