Playing with Linnea off Naxos
Watching Movies
We spent yesterday visiting with the cruising family on Linnea. Walter, the Dad, grew up in Sweden. Gail, the Mom, is from Ohio. The children are Tatiana, Drake, and Rex. It seems that whenever we get together with another cruising family some time is spent watching movies and today is no exception as Drake and Rex come over to Dragonsinger to watch a movie with Allen.
Sand Castles
Later in the morning we all head to the beach. We are the only two boats anchored in the small bay of Panormou on Naxos. We have the beach to ourselves and the kids compete to see who can build the most complicated castle and river system on the edge of the sea. Kevin does some snorkelling in the turquoise water off the beach.
Fisherman's House
I wander around and take some pictures. The bay is home to a fishing family whose home is located on the edge of the beach. When we arrived in Panormou my first attempt at anchoring snagged the fisherman's net. Fortunately it didn't appear to do any damage to the net, but we certainly were not popular with the fisherman.
Panormou Bay
This is one of the nicest bays we have been in and provides picture postcard views. The kids continue playing together until we take them back to Dragonsinger for lunch. It is rare to meet up with other cruising families and we share meals, visit, and just enjoy hanging out together.
