Shopping In The Rain
Rambouillet
After our marathon day at Disneyland Paris, we decided to stay home today. But we needed groceries for dinner so Jocelyn and I headed to the nearest major center -- Rambouillet. Shopping has been surprisingly easy. We are shopping at Intermarche, a medium-sized supermarket. The store layout is quite similar to supermarkets in Vancouver, although the wine selection is greater and cheaper. I find that if I am looking for a specific product, I just have to imagine where I would find it in a Vancouver supermarket and in most cases it will be in a similar position at Intermarche.
We needed an umbrella and I had letters to post, so Jocelyn and I headed into the center of Rambouillet. After the usual problems trying to find a parking spot, we strolled up and down the main street. While we did get soaked, we were not successful in finding either a post office or a place to buy an umbrella. But we did get to know the town a little better and I'm sure that we will be back for other things before our time south of Paris is over.
