Jocelyn Turns Twelve
Jocelyn
Jocelyn turned twelve today. I still don't know were the years have gone. We woke up to a nice day where we could enjoy the garden. After all of our touring in London and a long travel day yesterday, we decided to just enjoy the Senant's hospitality and stay home for the day.

Jocelyn played basketball with Olivier, listened to music, played ping-pong with me, soccer with the boys and I, and generally had a fun day goofing off. We also spent time visiting with the Senant family, catching up on all of the news.
Jocelyn saved her birthday presents for after dinner. We had a lovely French dinner followed by one of Pascale's special birthday cakes. Jocelyn received a camera, film, CDs, and lots of bath beads and salts. After dinner, I set things up so that Jocelyn could e-mail all of her friends in Vancouver. We hadn't had time in London to do much e-mail, so we took advantage of Pierre's Internet connection to let Jocelyn stay in touch with her friends.
It was a lovely day and special to have family and close friends to share Jocelyn's twelfth birthday. We will celebrate many special birthdays and events during our year away. It will be interesting to see where we are for each of them.
