The colour of a star varies from a light red to a dark blue. The colour depends on what
the star is made up of. A red star is the coolest star and has a temperature ranging
from 3,000 Celsius to 3,999 Celsius. Red stars are made up of terrestrial oxygen or
solar hydrogen. An orange star has a temperature ranging from 4,000 Celsius to 5,999
Celsius. A yellow star has a temperature ranging from 6,000 Celsius to 7,499 Celsius
and is made up of solar sodium. A white star has a temperature ranging from 7,500 to
9,999 Celsius. A light blue star has a temperature made up of 10,000 to 17,999. A dark
blue star is made up of solar hydrogen and has a temperature that is more than 18,000 while
a violet coloured star has a temperature that is a maximum of 40,000 Celsius and is made
up of solar iron and calcium or solar calcium.
